Must read

HCMC – The Quang Tri border defense force and the Lao competent agencies have cracked down on a massive drug trafficking ring and confiscated 479,000 pills of synthetic drugs.

Colonel Le Van Phuong, commander of the Quang Tri Border Guard Command, told Tuoi Tre Online on August 5 that the border guard command had teamed up with the Lao police in Savannakhet and other relevant agencies to bust the transnational drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vietnam. This is the largest drug trafficking ring the command has broken up successfully.

At 3.00 p.m. on August 4, the Quang Tri anti-drug forces and the Lao police arrested five Laotian traffickers, aged from 17 to 35, at the Densavan border gate in Seponh District of Savannakhet Province, Laos. After a quick search, some 60,000 pills of synthetic drugs were found.

On June 29, four others involved in the huge drug trafficking ring were detained while carrying 419,000 pills of synthetic drugs.
