HCMC – AirAsia will restart international flights between Vietnam’s three major cities — Hanoi, HCMC and Danang — and Thailand’s Bangkok from April.
The airline will restart the air link between Hanoi City and Bangkok on April 9, with five weekly flights, while re-launching daily flights on the HCMC-Bangkok air route on May 1.
AirAsia will re-operate four weekly flights on the Danang-Bangkok route on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays from early May.
Passengers can book tickets priced from nearly VND1.3 million each for these flights from now until March 27.
Santisuk Klongchaiya, chief executive officer at AirAsia Thailand, said that the airline had selected countries with the same reopening policies as Thailand to restart its international air services so that passengers could fly without concerns over quarantine requirements.
Apart from its plan to resume air routes linking Vietnam and Thailand, AirAsia will open some new air services to meet the rising travel demand of Vietnamese customers.
