Project Background
C.P. Group has established SAP ECC 6.0 as its core financial accounting solution. SAP ECC 6.0 was deployed across all its companies, ensuring consistency through unified Policies, Procedures, and Processes.
C.P. Group is embarking on a transformative journey to upgrade its SAP ECC 6.0 and Non-SAP systems to SAP S/4HANA and a next-generation technology platform across all its companies worldwide. C.P. Vietnam has proudly achieved a significant milestone as the second entity, following C.P. Thailand, to successfully complete the transition in November 2024.
CPV’s digital transformation marks a significant step forward, as it moves beyond the limitations of its legacy systems. By upgrading to SAP S/4HANA and integrating an advanced Non-SAP technology platform, CPV has embraced innovation to enhance operational efficiency and empower its workforce with new skills. Project Phases:
The main activities involve adapting the global template to local requirements and ensuring smooth deployment across business units. The project runs in 5 main phases:
Prepare: Set up the project and align the team. Plan the scope and timeline.
Explore: Analyze business requirements & FIT/GAP based on the global template.
Realize: Implement the system configuration. Customize and test the solution.
Deploy: Finalize data migration. Train users and prepare for go-live.
Run: Monitor system performance. Provide support and optimize processes.
At the end of each project phase, Quality Gate Review is conducted to evaluate project deliverables to ensure they meet established quality standards before proceeding to the next phase. It ensures that the project progresses smoothly without compromising quality at any stage.
